In 2019, Canada signed the Métis Veterans Recognition Payment Contribution Agreement to honour WWII Métis Veterans. The agreement provides all Métis Veterans with the support, honour and recognition they have always deserved.
The MMF entered a service delivery agreement with Métis National Council (MNC) to administer the Métis Veterans Legacy Program (MVLP). In 2022, the MMF entrusted this program to the RRMVD.
The MVLP supports, honours and recognizes eligible Métis Veterans through the Recognition Program and the Commemoration Program.
